I'd like to see a prompt involving the tools of the muse's trade, what they use day-to-day in their work. Could be a Wednesday graphics challenge or a Friday list-it, whatever works.

I'd like to suggest something of a networking challenge. I notice there are almost 800 community members from all fandoms, original stories, and other walks of life (which is awesome), but sometimes it's to the point where it's hard to keep of who's from where and what characters might be best to interact with each other, etc...

So maybe have a prompt/challenge where, if you're looking for more interaction for a specific character, you post their name, their fandom (or a brief summary of the original work in which they exist), and maybe state what kind of personality you'd like to see them interact with, or a specific fandom you'd like to cross over with or something like that.

I don't know. It's obviously just a half formed idea. And I'm tired. <3

Oh and just more prompts geared toward general character interaction, I guess. ^_^

Ooh, I like this idea! I've only been watching this comm for a few weeks or so & would love to know which characters, fandoms, etc. are wandering about here. ^_^

A Twos-day prompt: "Whether you're currently a parent, don't want kids for a quarter century, or fall somewhere in between, would you prefer to parent boys or girls? Why?"

Bonus: Write a drabble in which your character has children of the gender they didn't prefer.

(For Wed.) Post your character's March Madness bracket.

Monday: What aspect of your character do you find the most challenging? For example, something such as a personality trait, their lifestyle, something physical.

Tuesday: Work a job you hate for a large amount of money or do a job you love for almost nothing?

Thursday: Write a drabble where your character is trapped in an elevator with someone they dislike/ don't know. (Taken from the Writers Block book)

Loud or quiet?

Munday: Is the character a noisy/loud/present one or are they more quiet and shy?

Twosday: Write a drabble where they're either having a quiet moment or a noisy one.

Passive or Aggressive?

I guess the same goes for this, too.

Munday: Is the writer a passive one (preferring to let the muse do the talking) or aggressive (tells the muse what to do)?

Twosday: Is the character's personality more passive or aggressive?

Today's (outfit prompt) made me think of another list or graphics prompt possibility.
The contents of your wallet/pockets/or purse.

They could use Polyvore, if it was to be graphics, and obviously a list, if it was to be a list...

Inspired by a seemingly never-ending fandom debate topic:

Do you have a different level of sexual experience than your muse does? If yes, how does that affect how you write them?

Prompt modification or a reminder about comm rules might be necessary.

If you had to give up all your vices and bad habits but one; which one would you keep?

For Saturday: songs whose lyrics you've misunderstood/misinterpreted.
May. 23rd, 2009 05:41 am (UTC)
For Wednesday:

find a classical piece of art (or famous piece of art) that best reflects your character.
If that is too ceribal, simply art from places such as deviantart could be used.
as well as an explanation of course.

an example would be this piece for Blind Mag.
